RNASEH1-DT (RNASEH1 divergent transcript) is a long non-coding RNA gene transcribed from the antisense strand near the RNASEH1 locus. RNASEH1-DT is thought to have a regulatory role in the expression of the RNASEH1 gene, though its functional significance is poorly understood. It does not encode an enzyme or receptor and is not a classical druggable target. The clinical and biological roles of RNASEH1-DT remain to be defined in scientific literature. Key distinction: RNASEH1-DT is a long non-coding RNA; it is different from RNASEH1 (Ribonuclease H1), which is a catalytic enzyme with well-defined biological and disease roles[3]. There is no evidence that RNASEH1-DT itself is a direct therapeutic target, nor that it interacts with drugs. It primarily serves as a locus for antisense transcription that may regulate the adjacent RNASEH1 gene.
