RNY3 pseudogene 14 (RNY3P14) is a processed pseudogene related to the Y RNA family, specifically deriving from the RNY3 (RNA, Ro-associated Y3) gene. While functional Y RNA molecules like RNY3 participate in critical cellular processes such as DNA replication and possibly cell cycle regulation, pseudogenes such as RNY3P14 are generally considered non-functional genetic elements produced through retrotransposition or duplication.
