RNY4 pseudogene 30 (RNY4P30) is a human pseudogene located on chromosome 13 (chr13:49889634-49889728, hg38)[3]. It is one of many non-coding RNA pseudogenes highly similar to the functional RNY4 gene, which belongs to the YRNA family. Pseudogenes like RNY4P30 typically do not produce functional products and their biological significance is often unclear. While parental YRNAs are implicated in processes such as DNA replication, RNA stability, alternative splicing, and have established roles as biomarkers in various cancers, RNY4 pseudogenes including RNY4P30 have not been demonstrated to be direct therapeutic targets or disease biomarkers. Some pseudogenes can regulate their parental genes by acting as competing endogenous RNAs or through interactions with RNA-binding proteins, but there are no specific published data describing such a role for RNY4 pseudogene 30[4]. Most published research and biomarker data relate to the functional RNY4 gene, not its pseudogenes[1][2][5].
