RNY4 pseudogene 34 is a member of the Y RNA family of pseudogenes, located on chromosome 2, and annotated with the HGNC ID HGNC:50882[8][3][7]. As a pseudogene, RNY4P34 displays significant sequence similarity to the functional RNY4 gene, a small noncoding RNA (Y RNA) involved in forming Ro ribonucleoprotein complexes and thought to have roles in DNA replication and RNA stability[5][1][2]. However, as RNY4P34 is a pseudogene, there is currently no evidence that it produces a functional RNA product or protein, nor that it is associated with any biological function, disease process, or response to drug therapy[7][8][3]. Furthermore, there is no literature supporting RNY4P34 as a direct therapeutic target, biomarker, or drug-interacting entity. Most of the research and biomarker discussions around "RNY4" concern the functional RNY4 gene, not its pseudogenes[1][2]. References to tumor microenvironment roles, cancer biomarkers, and RNA functionality apply to the parent RNY4 gene—not to RNY4P34, which appears solely to be a non-functional sequence and is not implicated in current biological or medical literature as a target or functional entity[7][3][8]. In summary, RNY4 pseudogene 34 (RNY4P34) is a non-functional pseudogene, not a therapeutic target, not associated with interacting drugs, functions, disease roles, or biomarkers, and should not be confused with the functional RNY4 gene.
