RNY4 pseudogene 37 (RNY4P37) is a non-functional processed pseudogene derived from the functional RNY4 gene, which belongs to the YRNA family of small non-coding RNAs. These pseudogenes are typically found throughout the genome and share high sequence similarity with their parent YRNA genes but lack the ability to produce functional RNA or exert a biological function. RNY4P37 is annotated in the human genome (NCBI Gene ID: 106480314, Ensembl: ENSG00000252034) and mapped to chromosome 18. While the functional RNY4 has been studied for its roles in RNA stability, DNA replication, and potential biomarker applications—especially in cancer—the pseudogene RNY4P37 itself has no known function, disease association, or therapeutic relevance[3][6].
