Roseomonas mucosa is a Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, coccobacilli-shaped bacterium that forms pink-pigmented, mucoid colonies. It is generally considered a commensal organism on healthy human skin but can act as an opportunistic pathogen, especially in immunocompromised individuals. It has shown potential therapeutic use in treating atopic dermatitis.
