RPH3AL antisense RNA 2 (RPH3AL-AS2) is a long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) transcribed antisense to the RPH3AL gene on chromosome 17. As an antisense RNA, RPH3AL-AS2 is presumed to potentially regulate the expression of the RPH3AL gene—which encodes rabphilin 3A-like (without C2 domains), a protein involved in exocytosis and considered a tumor suppressor—but no direct biological, disease, or drug targeting role has been described for RPH3AL-AS2 itself in the available literature. There are currently no known aliases, disease associations, drug interactions, or clinical biomarker roles specifically ascribed to RPH3AL-AS2, and it is not established as a therapeutic target.
