RRN3 Pseudogene 3 (RRN3P3) is a non-protein-coding pseudogene, representing a genomic copy related to the RRN3 gene, which encodes a transcription initiation factor for RNA polymerase I. Unlike its functional parent gene (RRN3), RRN3P3 is not known to produce a protein or have a documented biological activity. Pseudogenes occasionally participate in the regulation of gene expression through non-coding RNAs but there is currently no evidence of such a function for RRN3P3. It is not considered a therapeutic target in pharmacology or molecular medicine, and there are no associated drugs or safety concerns identified for this pseudogene.
