Overview

RUS family member 1 (RUSF1) is a putative transmembrane protein containing a conserved DUF647 domain, potentially involved in protein-protein interaction. It shares homology with a plant protein that participates in ultraviolet B light-sensing during root morphogenesis. In humans, RUSF1 has limited characterized functional information, and there is currently no evidence that it functions as a classic therapeutic drug target or receptor. Associations have been reported with familial renal glucosuria, but no well-established molecular mechanism or disease pathway is described for this gene in human disease contexts[1][3][4][6][7].
