Target intelligence / Profile preview
S100A11 pseudogene 8 (S100A11P8) is a non-coding pseudogene related to the S100A11 gene, part of the S100 family of calcium-binding proteins. Pseudogenes such as S100A11P8 do not encode functional proteins, are generally not expressed, and lack established biological function or therapeutic relevance. The active S100A11 protein is involved in processes such as cell cycle regulation, proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and is implicated in various cancers and inflammatory diseases, but these activities do not apply to the pseudogene S100A11P8[3][5][7].
