Target intelligence / Profile preview
The S100P-p53 interaction refers to the direct binding between the calcium-binding protein S100P and the tumor suppressor protein p53. This interaction has functional consequences for cell proliferation, apoptosis, and cancer progression. Disrupting this interaction is a potential therapeutic strategy for reactivating wild-type p53 function in cancers where it is suppressed due to high levels of interacting partners like S100P.
Disrupts S100P-p53 complex formation by competing for binding sites on S100P.
