Target intelligence / Profile preview
SAP18 pseudogene 1 (SAP18P1) is a noncoding pseudogene corresponding to the SAP18 (Sin3A-associated protein 18) gene, which encodes a component of the histone deacetylase complex involved in transcriptional repression and RNA splicing regulation[1][4][6]. SAP18P1 itself does not produce a functional protein and is not considered a drug target, enzyme, or receptor. Pseudogenes such as SAP18P1 may have unique expression profiles or regulatory effects, but specific functional or clinical roles for SAP18P1 have not been documented in the biomedical literature.
