SCUBE3 antisense RNA 1 (SCUBE3-AS1, Z97832.2) is annotated as a long non-coding RNA gene that is transcribed from the opposite strand relative to the SCUBE3 gene. Long non-coding RNAs like SCUBE3-AS1 are typically understood to participate in the regulation of gene expression, often by modulating the expression of protein-coding genes located in cis or trans; however, no specific biological roles, disease relevance, drug interactions, or safety concerns have been documented for SCUBE3-AS1 in available databases or literature as of this review[1].
