SEC22 homolog B3, pseudogene (SEC22B3P)

Target
SEC22B3P
Molecular classification
Pseudogene, Non-coding RNA

Overview

SEC22 homolog B3, pseudogene (SEC22B3P) is a processed pseudogene found on human chromosome 22[3][1]. It is highly similar in sequence to the functional SEC22 gene family, but mutations render it incapable of producing a functional SEC22B3 protein. As a pseudogene, SEC22B3P is not known to have a direct protein function or to act as a drug target, receptor, or enzyme. While some pseudogenes have regulatory roles through expression of noncoding RNAs, there is no published evidence for such functions in SEC22B3P specifically. SEC22B3P does not have known clinical significance, direct therapeutic potential, or established roles in disease, and is not associated with any pharmacological interventions[3][1][2].
