Selenophosphate synthetase 2 pseudogene 1 (SEPHS2P1) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome derived from the gene encoding selenophosphate synthetase 2. As a pseudogene, SEPHS2P1 contains DNA sequences similar to SEPHS2 but lacks the ability to encode a functional protein due to accumulated mutations or absence of regulatory elements.
