Overview

Serine protease 41 (PRSS41) is a protein-coding gene in Homo sapiens, located on chromosome 16. It encodes a predicted serine-type endopeptidase, likely involved in proteolytic processes and thought to reside in the plasma membrane. PRSS41 is a member of the serine protease family; its expression and function in humans remains incompletely characterized, but mouse paralogs are known to be testis-specific and are implicated in spermatogenesis and germ cell survival during meiosis[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]. There are no validated drug interactions, biomarkers, or disease associations currently reported for PRSS41.
