The serotonin receptor 5-HT6 (5-HT6R) is a G protein-coupled receptor primarily expressed in the brain. It binds serotonin and modulates the activity of other neurotransmitter systems, including glutamate, acetylcholine, dopamine, norepinephrine, and GABA.
