SET pseudogene 10 is a retrocopy of the parental SET gene located on human chromosome 3 (chr3:92635549-92638093). As a processed pseudogene, it arises from a reverse transcribed mRNA integrated back into the genome, typically lacking introns and regulatory sequences required for protein-coding capacity[7][2]. SETP10 does not code for a functional protein product. While some pseudogenes can act as regulatory RNAs affecting gene expression, there is no specific evidence that SETP10 has such a function. It is not a valid therapeutic target and does not have known disease associations or drug interactions. In summary, SETP10 is a processed pseudogene with no established molecular function or disease relevance, and should not be considered a canonical molecular target.
