Target intelligence / Profile preview
SFT2 domain-containing protein 2 (SFT2D2) is a predicted multipass membrane protein involved in vesicle-mediated transport and protein trafficking, particularly in endosome-to-Golgi retrieval. It is widely expressed in the brain and immune cells, with high abundance in plasmacytoid dendritic cells and microglia. Elevated expression and autoantibody response to SFT2D2 have been linked to schizophrenia and potentially neurodegenerative and autoimmune disorders, though its role as a therapeutic target or in drug interactions remains uncharacterized.
