SIGLEC10 antisense RNA 2 (SIGLEC10-AS2, also known as AC008750.1) is a long non-coding RNA gene, transcribed antisense to the protein-coding gene SIGLEC10[4][7]. Antisense RNAs are typically non-protein-coding transcripts that regulate the expression of nearby or overlapping genes, often by mechanisms such as transcriptional interference, mRNA stabilization/destabilization, or recruitment of chromatin modifiers[6][9]. There is currently no evidence that SIGLEC10-AS2 acts as a receptor, enzyme, or classical therapeutic target, nor are there drugs or specific disease roles associated with this RNA in the literature to date[4][7]. Most functional data for antisense RNAs in general relate to post-transcriptional or transcriptional regulation, but details for SIGLEC10-AS2 itself remain uncharacterized[4][7]. This entry is therefore a long non-coding RNA with regulatory potential but does not currently qualify as a direct therapeutic target.
