Overview

SCUBE3 is a secreted and cell membrane-associated protein that plays a multifunctional regulatory role in several biological pathways. It modulates FGF signaling during muscle development, regulates BMP signaling for skeletal development, and facilitates TGFβ signaling. SCUBE3 also promotes angiogenesis through interactions with VEGF. Its dysregulation is implicated in cancer progression, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma, making it a potential therapeutic target.
