Signal regulatory protein beta 1

Molecular classification
Receptor, Immunoglobulin superfamily, Signal-regulatory protein (SIRP) family, Transmembrane glycoprotein
01

Overview

Signal regulatory protein beta 1 (SIRPB1) is a transmembrane glycoprotein receptor belonging to the SIRP family. It is expressed on myeloid cells and, unlike SIRPA, activates signaling through association with the DAP12 adaptor protein, leading to myeloid cell activation. It does not bind CD47. It has been implicated in influencing inflammatory factor expression within the tumor microenvironment and modulating microglial response in Alzheimer's disease models.
