Signaling Lymphocytic Activation Molecule Family Member 7 (SLAMF7)

Target
SLAMF7
Molecular classification
Type I transmembrane protein, Receptor, Signaling lymphocytic activation molecule family
01

Overview

Signaling lymphocytic activation molecule family member 7 (SLAMF7), also known as CD319, CS1, or CRACC, is a transmembrane protein and a member of the SLAM family of receptors. It plays key roles in immune cell signaling and has become an important therapeutic target, especially in multiple myeloma. It enhances cytotoxicity of NK cells by promoting degranulation upon engagement with its ligand (homophilic binding), modulates B cell activity and adaptive immunity, and regulates macrophage function. It is highly expressed on malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma.
