Target intelligence / Profile preview
Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are nanoscale particles of silver that exhibit anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties. They modulate cytokine production, inhibit COX-2, disrupt bacterial metabolism, and scavenge free radicals. AgNPs are being investigated for wound healing, burn treatment, and other pharmaceutical applications.
Silver nanoparticles exert anti-inflammatory effects by reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6), increasing anti-inflammatory cytokines, inhibiting COX-2 and MMP-3 expressions, affecting bacterial cellular metabolism, and eliminating free radicals.
