SINHCAF pseudogene 3 (SINHCAFP3, FAM60DP) is a nonfunctional segment of DNA related by sequence homology to SINHCAF/FAM60A, a subunit of the Sin3a histone deacetylase complex involved in transcriptional regulation and embryonic development[1][3][4]. Pseudogenes such as SINHCAFP3 generally lack protein-coding function due to mutations or truncations resulting in frameshifts or premature stop codons[4]. While pseudogenes may rarely acquire regulatory roles through their RNA transcripts (e.g., as sources of siRNAs or by acting as competing endogenous RNAs), no such biological or disease-related roles have been reported for SINHCAFP3[2][4]. It is not considered a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other therapeutic target, nor is it used as a biomarker or drug target.
