SIRPG Antisense RNA 1 (SIRPG-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA gene transcribed antisense to the SIRPG locus. It is currently classified as a lncRNA, with limited understanding of its specific molecular function, biological roles, or disease mechanisms. The only reported disease association is Glioma Susceptibility 1. Like other antisense RNAs, SIRPG-AS1 might participate in gene expression regulation at the transcriptional or epigenetic level, but no experimental data are presently published regarding its detailed function, molecular partners, or relevance as a therapeutic or biomarker target.
