As an antisense lncRNA, SKOR1-AS1 is likely involved in the regulation of gene expression of SKOR1 or nearby genes, potentially through mechanisms such as transcriptional interference, modulation of chromatin structure, or RNA-mediated epigenetic regulation, following general principles described for antisense lncRNAs[1][2][5][7].
