SLC25A48 antisense RNA 1 (SLC25A48-AS1)

SLC25A48 antisense RNA 1 (SLC25A48-AS1), also known as LINC01959, is a long non-coding RNA gene located in the human genome and annotated as antisense to SLC25A48[2][5]. As a non-coding RNA, it is classified as a long intergenic non-protein coding RNA (lncRNA) and does not encode a protein product. Instead, like other lncRNAs, it may regulate gene expression at the transcriptional or post-transcriptional level, but currently, its function remains uncharacterized and there is no established role as a drug target, nor are there known interacting drugs or biomarker applications[5]. It is not considered a therapeutic target such as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter.
