Overview

SLIT1 antisense RNA 1 (SLIT1-AS1) is a long non-coding antisense RNA gene situated on chromosome 10[7]. Antisense RNAs, including SLIT1-AS1, can regulate expression of their sense partner genes (in this case, SLIT1) as well as exert epigenetic effects through direct RNA-DNA, RNA-RNA, or RNA-protein interactions.
