SLIT3 antisense RNA 2 (SLIT3-AS2) is a long non-coding RNA transcribed from the SLIT3 gene locus in the antisense orientation. While antisense RNAs like SLIT3-AS2 often function as regulators of gene expression, possibly modulating the expression of their sense counterparts through epigenetic or transcriptional interference, SLIT3-AS2 itself does not code for a protein nor is it a typical therapeutic target such as a receptor or enzyme.
