The small nuclear ribonucleoprotein polypeptide C pseudogene (SNRPCP7) is a genomic DNA sequence derived from the SNRPC gene, which encodes a core protein component of the U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein particle essential for the spliceosome in pre-mRNA splicing[3]. As a pseudogene, SNRPCP7 is noncoding, does not produce functional protein, and is generally considered biologically inactive, although some pseudogenes can occasionally be transcribed into non-coding RNA[4]. It is not a therapeutically actionable target—unlike enzymes, receptors, or other functional proteins—and there are no known disease links, drug interactions, or mechanisms of action associated with this pseudogene.
