Small nucleolar RNA host gene 30 (SNHG30)

Target
SNHG30

Overview

Small nucleolar RNA host gene 30 (SNHG30) encodes a long non-coding RNA molecule that serves as the host for small nucleolar RNAs within its intronic regions. These snoRNAs are processed from the primary transcript and participate in modifications of ribosomal RNA and gene expression regulation. SNHG family lncRNAs are implicated in multiple processes including cancer progression, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, cell proliferation, and apoptosis, primarily via their derivative snoRNAs and through regulatory gene interaction. However, SNHG30's specific biological and clinical roles remain to be comprehensively characterized, although by analogy to other SNHGs, dysregulation may contribute to cancer and cell growth via RNA-mediated regulatory mechanisms.
