Small nucleolar RNA SNORA25 guides site-specific pseudouridylation of rRNA, helping to modify nucleotides in ribosomal RNA through a conserved mechanism. It is a member of the H/ACA-box snoRNAs—a class of small non-coding RNAs located in the nucleolus, essential for proper maturation and function of ribosomes. SNORA25 does not code for protein, does not function as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter, and is not currently a focus of drug development.
