Small nucleolar RNA SNORD11 (SNORD11; LOC124900371; ENSG00000238819) is a non-coding RNA gene located on chromosome 15 (15:46,351,662-46,351,746, reverse strand, GRCh38)[1][5]. SNORD11 belongs to the C/D box class of snoRNAs, a group involved in the chemical modification of other RNA molecules, mainly 2'-O-methylation of ribosomal RNA. This gene does not encode a protein and is not recognized as a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or similar pharmacological entity. Due to its classification as a snoRNA, its primary biological function is guiding the methylation of target RNAs in the nucleolus, essential for ribosome biogenesis and RNA stability.
