Target intelligence / Profile preview
SMARCE1 pseudogene 3 (SMARCE1P3) is a human gene classified as a pseudogene, based on its sequence similarity to SMARCE1, which encodes a component of the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex[6][9]. SMARCE1P3 itself is not known to encode a functional protein, nor is it implicated in any known disease processes or therapeutic interventions. Its parent gene, SMARCE1, encodes a protein involved in chromatin remodeling, transcriptional regulation, and has roles in development and tumorigenesis, but these properties do not extend to SMARCE1P3[1][7][9]. There are no identified drugs, biomarkers, or disease associations relevant to SMARCE1P3 and it is not considered a therapeutic target.
