SMARCE1 pseudogene 7 (SMARCE1P7) is a human pseudogene located in the genome and named after its parental protein-coding gene, SMARCE1, which encodes the BAF57 subunit of the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex[6]. Unlike the functional SMARCE1 gene[1][3][5], SMARCE1P7 is a non-protein-coding pseudogene with no established molecular, biological, or disease roles, no relevance as a biomarker, and no known drug interactions. Although some pseudogenes may exert regulatory effects at the RNA level in certain contexts, SMARCE1P7 has not been described in scientific literature or curated databases as fulfilling such roles. SMARCE1P7 is not a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other molecular target but rather a genomic pseudogene without a described biological or disease function, and inclusion as a therapeutic target would be incorrect[6].
