SMG1 pseudogene 4 (SMG1P4) is a pseudogene that arises from the SMG1 gene, which encodes a phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-related kinase (PIKK) involved in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) and cellular responses to stress [1][2][3].
