SNTG2 Antisense RNA 1 (SNTG2-AS1) is an antisense long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene that resides near and is transcribed in the opposite direction of the SNTG2 gene, which codes for syntrophin gamma 2[6]. While many antisense lncRNAs regulate their host gene, the specific function of SNTG2-AS1 remains unknown and unstudied. There is no direct evidence suggesting it plays a role in disease, serves as a therapeutic target, interacts with drugs, or acts as a clinical biomarker. The biological relevance of SNTG2-AS1 may be mediated through regulatory effects on SNTG2, but further research is needed to establish its function[6][4].
