This specific pharmacological profile is targeted by various classes of drugs, including tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) and certain atypical antipsychotics, to treat conditions like major depressive disorder, ADHD, and benign prostatic hyperplasia [4][5]. While effective, simultaneous modulation of these targets often results in side effects such as orthostatic hypotension and tachycardia due to the disruption of autonomic homeostasis [6].
