Target intelligence / Profile preview
Solute carrier family 22 member 20 pseudogene (SLC22A20P) is a human pseudogene presumed to be related to the solute carrier (SLC) gene family, specifically within the organic anion transporter (OAT) subfamily. While its ancestral gene, organic anion transporter 6 (OAT6), is predicted to mediate transmembrane organic anion transport such as uptake of estrone sulfate, SLC22A20P itself is classified as a pseudogene and is not known to encode a functional protein. There is no evidence supporting its role as an active therapeutic target, nor is it implicated in known biological processes or diseases[1][2][3][4][5][9].
