Target intelligence / Profile preview
Solute carrier family 25 member 3 pseudogene 1 (SLC25A3P1) is a human pseudogene located on chromosome 1[6]. It shares sequence homology with functional members of the mitochondrial solute carrier family (SLC25), specifically SLC25A3, which operates as a phosphate carrier in mitochondria. Unlike its parent gene, SLC25A3P1 does not encode a functional protein and is not homologous to sodium/potassium/calcium exchangers (solute carrier family 24). SLC25A3P1 therefore does not serve known biological, receptor, transporter, or catalytic activities, nor is it implicated as a therapeutic target or disease biomarker[1][2][6].
