Solute carrier family 25 member 3 pseudogene 3 (SLC25A3P3)

SLC25A3P3, or solute carrier family 25 member 3 pseudogene 3, is a human pseudogene related to the functional SLC25A3 gene, which encodes a mitochondrial phosphate carrier protein involved in mitochondrial ATP synthesis and copper transport[3]. SLC25A3P3 does not encode a functional protein and is considered a noncoding, nonfunctional genomic element[1][7][8]. While it shares sequence similarity with SLC25A3, it has not been linked to specific cellular functions, diseases, or therapeutic targeting.
