SLC25A6P1, also known as solute carrier family 25 member 6 pseudogene 1, is a non-functional pseudogene located in the human genome. It is closely related to—but distinct from—the functional mitochondrial ADP/ATP translocase-encoding gene SLC25A6 (ANT3). While SLC25A6 is a well-studied mitochondrial transporter protein involved in exchanging ADP and ATP across the inner mitochondrial membrane, SLC25A6P1 does not produce a functional protein and has no direct role in mitochondrial transport, apoptosis, cell signaling, or other biological processes. There are no known disease associations, drug interactions, biomarkers, or safety concerns for SLC25A6P1; these properties all relate to the functional SLC25A6 gene[5][7][9].
