Target intelligence / Profile preview
Solute carrier family 35 member F1 (SLC35F1) is a protein transporter of the SLC superfamily, predicted to participate in transmembrane transport but uncharacterized regarding specific substrate or physiological function. It is most highly expressed in the brain and kidney and is associated with synaptic vesicle membranes and recycling endosomes. SLC35F1 has a possible genetic association with epilepsy but is not a current therapeutic target or biomarker; its molecular and pathophysiological roles remain to be elucidated.
