Target intelligence / Profile preview
Solute carrier family 35 member G4 (SLC35G4) is a member of the SLC35 family of putative nucleotide sugar transporters, a class of multi-membrane-spanning transporters involved in the transport of nucleotide-conjugated sugars into the Golgi and endoplasmic reticulum for glycoprotein biosynthesis. SLC35G4 is encoded by a protein-coding gene and predicted to be localized in membranes, but its biological role and substrate specificity remain uncharacterized in the literature. The “pseudogene” form as referenced by the Ensembl ID ENSG00000267773 is non-functional and not associated with any known protein product or disease role.
