Overview

Sorting nexin 18 pseudogene 13 (SNX18P13) is a human pseudogene related by sequence homology to the sorting nexin 18 (SNX18) gene. Unlike the canonical SNX18 gene, which encodes a protein involved in intracellular vesicle trafficking and autophagy, SNX18P13 is not believed to produce a functional protein product. As such, it is not considered a therapeutically relevant target and has no known biological roles or disease associations[7].
