Sorting nexin 2 pseudogene 1 (SNX2P1) is a non-protein-coding pseudogene in the human genome, related to the protein-coding gene sorting nexin 2 (SNX2), which belongs to the sorting nexin family involved in endosomal trafficking. Pseudogenes like SNX2P1 do not produce functional proteins and are generally considered genomic remnants of ancestral genes[5]. There is no evidence that SNX2P1 serves as a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, or has recognized biological or disease-related functions.
