Target intelligence / Profile preview
Sorting nexin 29 pseudogene 1 (SNX29P1) is a pseudogene in the human genome. Pseudogenes are genetic sequences similar to known genes but are typically nonfunctional at the protein level due to mutations, deletions, or lack of transcription. SNX29P1 is homologous to the functional gene sorting nexin 29 (SNX29), which belongs to the sorting nexin family involved in membrane trafficking and protein sorting pathways. However, SNX29P1 does not produce a functional protein and has no known biological or disease-related activities.
