Spermatogenesis-associated protein 9 (SPATA9) is a human protein encoded by the SPATA9 gene, primarily expressed in testicular tissue. It is predicted to play a role in testicular development and spermatogenesis, potentially influencing cell differentiation processes critical to the formation and maturation of sperm cells. Dysfunction or alterations in SPATA9 have been associated with male infertility, although its precise molecular functions and mechanisms remain unclear.
