SRSF protein kinase 2 pseudogene (SRPK2P or SRPK2ps) is a nonfunctional genomic segment in humans that shows sequence similarity to the functional SRSF protein kinase 2 gene (SRPK2) but does not encode a protein product. Pseudogenes like SRPK2P generally arise from duplication or retrotransposition events and do not play an active role in biological pathways or serve as protein targets for drugs.
Pseudogenes have no therapeutic mechanism of action, as they do not code for active proteins.
